Four to six implants support a bridge that stays in place. No adhesive, no plate to take out, no movement when you eat or speak.
For most suitable patients a temporary fixed bridge is fitted on the day of surgery, so you do not leave without teeth.
3D scanning and digital planning on site in Sandgate. No external referral, and your bone volume measured before anything is decided.
DentiCare interest-free plans from $50/week, plus Afterpay, Zip and Humm.
Full mouth dental implants replace an entire arch of missing or failing teeth with a fixed bridge anchored to four to six implants — a technique known as All-on-X. At Sandgate Bayside Dental, Dr Vikram Bansal and our team provide full-arch implant treatment for adults across Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Brighton, Deagon, Boondall, Bracken Ridge and the wider Brisbane region.
We have been caring for patients from our Sandgate practice since 1992. Treatment is planned using in-house CBCT 3D imaging, with IV and oral sedation available for patients who feel anxious. Implants are placed using the Osstem system. There is ample parking on site and the practice is a short walk from Sandgate train station.

Full mouth dental implants — also called full-arch implants or All-on-X — use four to six titanium implants to support a complete fixed bridge of teeth. Rather than replacing every tooth individually, the implants act as anchor points for a single prosthetic arch that is secured in place and does not come out like a conventional denture.
Two implants are positioned at the front of the jaw and the remainder are angled further back. This angled placement makes use of the bone available at the rear of the jaw, which means treatment can often proceed without a separate bone grafting procedure, depending on clinical assessment.

You may be a candidate if you have multiple missing or failing teeth, currently wear a denture and want something fixed, want to improve chewing and speech, or have been told you have reduced bone volume.
A consultation and 3D scan allow our team to confirm which pathway suits you. Not sure if you qualify? Read am I suitable for All-on-X?
We place Osstem implants, a system manufactured in South Korea since 1997 and distributed in more than 70 countries.
Using a named, widely distributed system matters for the long term: the components in your jaw can be identified and matched years later, by us or by any dentist you see in future. Ask us which implant system is being used before you commit to full-arch treatment anywhere — it is a fair question and you should get a straight answer.
We offer both IV sedation and oral sedation at our Sandgate practice. IV sedation is designed to induce deep relaxation and often reduces memory of the procedure. Oral sedation produces a lighter state of relaxation.
Sedation is pre-booked as part of your treatment plan, requires a medical assessment, and you will need an escort to take you home. Read more about IV sedation, oral sedation, or managing dental anxiety. Costs for sedation with implant treatment are set out separately.

A discussion of your goals, clinical photographs, examination, and a CBCT scan to evaluate bone structure and plan treatment precisely.
Using your 3D scan, we design the position of each implant and plan the new arch with aesthetics, function and longevity in mind.
Four to six implants are placed at planned positions and non-restorable teeth removed. For most suitable patients a temporary fixed bridge is fitted the same day.
Implants integrate with the bone over three to six months while you wear the temporary. Your final custom bridge is then designed, reviewed with you and fitted. Read recovery, week by week.
Rest on the gums, may move during speaking or eating, need adhesive, and do not slow the bone loss that follows tooth loss.
Clip onto two to four implants and can be removed for cleaning. A middle option between a conventional denture and a fixed arch — see implant-supported dentures.
One implant per missing tooth. More implants per arch, often with additional bone grafting. See our dental implants page.
Four to six implants support one fixed bridge, and angled placement may avoid bone grafting depending on assessment.
The cost of full-arch implant treatment depends on the number of implants, your jaw anatomy, the materials used for the bridge, and whether extractions or bone grafting are required first.
We provide a written itemised quote after your consultation and CBCT scan, before any treatment proceeds. For comparison, a single dental implant including the post, abutment and custom crown starts from $4,200 all-inclusive at our practice.
Interest-free payment plans from $50 per week, plus Afterpay, Zip and Humm. Some patients also explore early release of superannuation for medically necessary dental treatment.
We are a preferred provider for nib First Choice Network, Westfund Provider of Choice, HCF and TUH Preferred Provider, and an HIF Choice Network provider. We also accept Bupa and Medibank. HICAPS on the spot claiming is available, so you only pay the gap on the day.
Full-arch implant treatment is a significant procedure and, like any surgical treatment, it carries risks.
Your dentist will discuss these risks in detail and provide tailored advice before you decide whether to proceed.
Full-arch treatment at Sandgate Bayside Dental is led by principal dentist Dr Vikram Bansal BDS MDS, who plans and places implant cases, working alongside Dr Shelly Bansal and Dr Emma Marshall.
If you are considering full mouth dental implants, our team will talk you through what is involved, what it will cost, and what the alternatives are, before you commit to anything.
Full mouth dental implants replace a complete arch of teeth using four to six implants that support a fixed bridge. This approach is known as All-on-X. Two implants sit at the front of the jaw and the remainder are angled further back to make use of available bone, which can avoid the need for grafting.
Cost depends on the number of implants, your jaw anatomy, the bridge materials, and whether extractions or grafting are needed. A full arch is usually restored with four to six implants. The exact number depends on your bone volume, bone density, and whether the arch is upper or lower. Upper jaws often need more implants because the bone is less dense. A CBCT scan at your consultation confirms the number for your case.
We place Osstem implants, a system manufactured in South Korea since 1997 and distributed in more than 70 countries. Choosing a named, widely distributed system means the components in your jaw can be identified and matched years later, whether you return to us or see a different dentist in future.
Swelling, tenderness and mild discomfort for a few days is normal and is managed with pain relief as directed by your dentist. A soft diet is recommended early on. Osseointegration, where the implants fuse with bone, takes three to six months depending on bone density and healing response. Review appointments are scheduled throughout.
For most suitable patients a temporary fixed bridge is fitted on the same day as or shortly after implant placement, so you will not go without teeth. The temporary lets you speak and eat soft foods while the implants integrate over three to six months. Your final bridge is fitted after that.
Patients with loose or unstable dentures are often suitable for implant treatment. A fixed All-on-X bridge stays in permanently, while an implant-supported overdenture clips onto two to four implants and can be removed for cleaning. A CBCT scan at your consultation shows which pathway suits your bone.
Yes. IV sedation and oral sedation are both available at our Sandgate practice. IV sedation is designed to induce deep relaxation and often reduces memory of the procedure. Sedation is arranged in advance, requires a medical assessment, and you will need an escort to take you home afterwards.
Bone loss after long-term tooth loss or denture wear is common and does not automatically rule out treatment. Angled implant placement can make use of bone at the back of the jaw, and grafting can rebuild volume where needed. Our in-house CBCT scanner shows precisely what is available.
With good oral hygiene and regular review appointments, the titanium implants are designed to last many years and in many cases decades. The bridge attached to them may need maintenance or replacement over time depending on the material used. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and poor oral hygiene can affect long-term outcomes.
Yes. We offer Afterpay, Zip, Humm and Denticare interest-free payment plans, starting from $50 per week. Health fund rebates apply where your cover includes major dental, and we offer HICAPS on-the-spot claiming. Some patients also explore early release of superannuation for medically necessary dental treatment.
Whether you are comparing full-arch options, considering All-on-X for the first time, or seeking a second opinion, we will assess your case and set out what is possible.
