Westfund members on an Extras only or combined Hospital and Extras policy are covered for selected preventive dental services at a Provider of Choice practice, with no out-of-pocket cost. The covered list is:

Treatment Beyond Preventive Care
Provider of Choice covers preventive services. If you need a filling, a crown, root canal treatment or an implant, Westfund still pays a benefit toward it depending on your level of cover.
You receive a written treatment plan with itemised costs before treatment begins, and we can give you the item numbers so you can confirm your rebate with Westfund before deciding. Where a gap remains, interest-free payment plans start from $50 per week.

We are also a preferred provider for nib, HCF and TUH, and an HIF Choice Network provider. HICAPS on the spot claiming is available for Bupa, Medibank and all other major funds.

Do I need to pay upfront and claim it back later?
No. We use HICAPS on the spot claiming, so your Westfund benefit is processed at reception before you leave. For covered preventive services there is usually nothing to pay. For anything outside the covered list, you pay only the gap on the day.
What happens if I need treatment that is not covered?
You receive a written treatment plan with itemised costs before treatment begins, so there are no surprises. Westfund pays a benefit toward most general dental work depending on your level of cover. Interest-free payment plans are available from 50 dollars per week through Afterpay, Zip, Humm and DentiCare.
Do I need to tell you I am a Westfund member?
Yes, please mention it when you book and again at reception. Your Provider of Choice cover is applied at the time of claiming, so telling us in advance means we can check your entitlements and let you know what is covered before your appointment rather than afterwards.
Which other health funds do you work with?

Where are you located and when are you open?
We are at 74 Loudon Street, Sandgate, opposite Sandgate Town Hall, with a dedicated on-site car park. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Closed Sunday.
